I have had so many great(!) ideas over the years to make a short film of some kind...and in today's world where the WEB is more than willing to host any media you can throw at it (thanks to YouTube,metacafe,google video etc), showing off your creation to the world ain't much of a big deal. I though I would be able to do so with my crappy digi-cam's 5 min video sq. But I was wrong..thanks to my great(!) internet connection. It seems I can't upload any file over 1mb!! (what? You haven't heard of dial-up..are you from neptune?). Check out my first humorous take on short-clips. Its hosted on YouTube and I could've embedded the player right on this post, but supposedly LJ doesn't support such integration. The clip is crappy, low-res, has terrible sound effects and features my left hand...so if you're in a bad/pensive mood I'd advice you not to watch it. Because, you might just end up being even more pissed.. But hey...I'll make better ones. Meanwhilst you can check out this priceless work of social justice. Its another YouTube video that is well made (to the teeth) and beautifully choreographed (so its obvious that I wasn't behind this). It shows gang-violence among the african-american community and also tries to motivate the shitty young-people not to blow each other's brain out in public through R&B. I wish someone in BD could've done something similar with the Eden-Girls college incident (eden college gals can Kill Bill with their bare hands...no Samurai "Bakumatsu" or reverse edged swords needed). Man, chick fights are fun when it doesn't involve one of your cousins getting hurt
PS: My advice to all those out there with something that records motion and a connection better than mine; upload and share those moving moments MANN / WOMANNN. I mean, when you'r old your children won't probably look after you (cuz most of them would be raised in places beyond BD), you'll have to live on social-welfare and wish you had done something better (even if you were the CEO of texas instruments) with your life. Lastly..maybe all bangladeshis should get a taste of bangla-blogging. Like I did. You'll need to mess around with your OS setting in order to see the text in actual bangla.
